The brief

The owners were looking at a choice a lot of Treasure Valley families face: their grandmother needed to be closer to family, and nobody wanted the answer to be a care facility. So they asked for the other option. A real home in the backyard, her own front door, family twenty steps away.

The lot

The site came with history: an old septic system, an old well, and power that only ran overhead. Serving the new home meant trenching power in and putting in a new septic. None of it shows now, which is the point.

What we built

About 750 square feet: one bedroom, one bath, and a vaulted ceiling that makes the main room live larger than the footprint suggests. ADA friendly throughout, so the home works for her today and keeps working as her needs change. All electric.

Built on the custom track.

Fully custom, one contract for the build, and the same person running the job from the first site walk to the finished punch list. That’s the same track any custom build with us runs on.

The custom track

Walk it in person.
